The Plumen 001 is the world's first designer energy saving light bulb.

The dynamic, sculptured form contrasts to the dull regular shapes of existing low energy bulbs, in an attempt to make the Plumen a centrepiece, not afterthought.

The Plumen 001 works like any other high quality low energy bulb – saving you 80% on your energy bills and lasting 8 times longer than a standard incandescent bulb.

The Plumen 001 was awarded the Brit Insurance Design of the Year in 2011, one of the world's highest profile international design awards. It was also awarded the prestigious Black Pencil at the D&AD awards in the same year.

It is included in the permanent collections of MoMA, the Victoria & Albert Museum, the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt Collection, The Art Institute of Chicago and the Design Museum in Helsinki.
